These two boxes are part of an exhibition replica ship at the Scheepvaartmuseum in Amsterdam. They were designed for tea, or possibly tobacco. They looked a bit unusual, especially with the aluminium struts keeping the boxes open, and so took a photo.
For some reason or another it’s managed to get a decent few hits buried in my flickr stream, and it survived as my desktop background for about six months.
