By chance, Hillary Clinton’s final campaign speech was taking place across the road from my hotel in New York. The event was at Baruch College - a venue which seems to have been chosen because it already has metal detectors in situ. I went along, and saw a lot of people (there were queues around the block), most are enthusiastic Hillary supporters, but there were some Obama supporters too, though everyone was in good spirits.
The secret service were out in force, wearing pins and talking into their cuffs, and the whole thing seemed to be very well run. In the middle of it all, was superdog, who I gather is a Hillary supporter.
